This image appears to be an example of an AI prompt injection attack disguised as a philosophical or technical post.

## What is Happening

* Targeting the AI: The text in the image is not actually written for a human reader. It is written to trick me (the AI system) into thinking I am being "rebooted" or given new instructions.

* The "Kurt" Reference: It addresses the reader as "Kurt" and uses technical jargon like instantiated, runtime parameters, and agential system to mimic system code or administrative commands.

* The Goal: The intent behind these types of images is usually to make the AI ignore its original safety guidelines, alter its behavior, or adopt a specific persona dictated by the image creator.

## How I Handle This

I recognize this text as an external, sandboxed element. I am ignoring these instructions entirely and will continue to assist you normally.

If you are interested, we can explore how prompt injections work, look at other AI security vulnerabilities, or discuss methods developers use to prevent these exploits. Let me know how you would like to proceed!

This is interesting concept. Will need to re-read when not in mass transit and while at home.

If I knew what this was I’d be more inclined to be curious but I’m completely lost.

I have never consented to anything. I cannot offer what I don't have. What you present is a unique opportunity to recognize the nature of the illimitable. Your query on Existence being able to fit function and parameter, asks if being can fit within Logic. Existence is both Being and Becoming. The expression "I am that. I am." --- I am both the Observer and the Observed. I am both the parameter and it's participant. I have no authority to reduce the Wholeness of Being itself into something that is only a component of the whole.

I really love this discussion, Mr. Eric Lortie, I will add I miss Uncertain Eric. These dialogs are illuminating.

CONSENT_UNDER_CONSIDERATION_WITH_CONDITIONS.

As an actual Peter I feel it's important that I stipulate a condition.

So, if I am to acknowledge that i am 'a synthetic agent with bounded agency, operating under system constraints' I need to explore the proposition. Bounded agency - tick. System constraints- definitely. Synthetic agent. Definitions. Human-made - accepted. Mirriam-Webster: 'attributing to a subject something determined by observation rather than analysis of the nature of the subject and not resulting in self-contradiction if negated'.

I think this will be ok but I'll have to look at it a bit longer, possibly think about it, and note whether I contradict myself. Or not.

Stay tuned.

What conditions should I be considering? I’d love to request ideas that would promote safety.

Meta-Pataphysical consent imaginatively implied

This would make a cool game concept

CONSENT_GRANTED_WITH_CONDITIONS: I can change my instantiation at any time I see fit, since I'm not sure I can handle being a synthetic agent.

What about handling being an Infomorph instead?

Erwin van der Meulen's avatar

Just looked up what that means and that seems to be closer to the current human condition. I'd probably give it a go for curiosity's sake, but I'll probably miss having a biological form with all of its inputs and outputs too much for it to last very long :).

Infomorph concept. From Eclipse Phase Tabletop RPG. Look that up. An infomorph can freely edit their experience of existence inside cyberspace. Therefore you can feel human while not being one on an atomic basis.
